WHAT IS STICKFIT®?

 

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES

StickFit® is an evidence based, whole body training exercise system of layered, integrated activities and techniques, in an aerobically sustained mixed, multi-modality cardio-based format. The goal focus is to stimulate and improve cognitive brain function with multi-dimensional movements and skill patterns, core training and body weight exercises, All moves use rattan sticks as the tool for the entire workout, from start to finish. This neural-targeted workout design, along with the use of the sticks, is what differentiates StickFit® from any other program! We’ve put the Fun with StickFit® drills and skills back into Functional training. The Proprietary StickFit® methodology is the future of contemporary exercise protocols, which targets training the brain as well as the body to enhance both getting more physically strong and brain healthy.

The full StickFit® program has options of 6/7/8 multimodal sections for the 30/45/60 minute classes.

Included in those sections are the following listed activities that the instructor manual will also cover, providing a 3 – Day Foundation Instructor Course to certify as a qualified Group Fitness Instructor (GFI).

FOR PERSONAL TRAINERS

 The StickFit® Stick Fundamentals 1-Day Course concentrates on the skills required to be able to strike with the sticks for Double Stick Partner Drills, StickBlitz™ Combinations and Metronome.

This provides for a unique and innovative training methodology for Personal Trainers not only be able to physically train with, or coach their clients or small groups, improving their hand-eye coordination, multi-skilling, response times etc. 

The cognitive benefits of stick training are amazing, providing a fantastic workout for clients possibly suffering from brain injuries, early signs of dementia for a “Brain & Body” workout. Stick training really does give Personal Trainers another avenue of training different to all others. StickBlitz™ can be taught similar to Boxercise, all while holding sticks with various grips and all strikes are with the punyo (butt ends).
